It was well remembered that the Patriots have barely defeated thie rivals, the high-flying Ravens in the AFC Championship football game, 23-20, in a missed 32 yard field goal by none other than the great Billy Cundiff. This really shocked the Patriots in glee. Because of that miss, the Patriots have come out from brimstone and hellfire and too advantage of the situation that stunned the Ravens. This allowed quarterback Tom Brady to be in the Super Bowl again, his fifth. The Ravens were at the edge of the cliff because of that blunder that cost them their bid for a championship.
Time and again, the Patriots were always criticized because of their weak defense during the regular season of NFL. But they stood ground and held their hope up high and they persevered.
In other NFL news, the gigantic New York Giants were in the Super Bowl again, stopping their rival 49ers in a brain-eating football game which ended with 20-17 in favor of the NY Giants. Again, quarterback Eli Manning showed everyone what he's made of and have cemented his reputation as one of the elite quarterbacks of the league. The defense of the 49ers were tight but not too tight for this super quarterback. With him at the helm, the Giants overcame all odds. The guy was sacked too many times during the game but was so very persistent even way past overtime.
